CopyCat does not collect, transmit, or share any information. The app has no internet permission, contains no advertising, and includes no analytics or tracking of any kind. Everything it saves stays on your device.
This privacy policy governs your use of the software application CopyCat (“Application”), created by IMGWERX LLC. The Application is a game intended for general audiences.
None. CopyCat does not gather personal information, does not create a user profile, and does not require an account. There is no sign-in and no registration. It does not collect your device ID, IP address, telephone number, advertising identifier, or location, precise or otherwise.
So the game can remember your progress between sessions, CopyCat saves the following in Android's private app storage. This data never leaves your device, cannot be read by other apps, and is not visible to us:
The player name is optional and is simply whatever you type. The Application neither requests nor verifies your real name.
CopyCat requests no network permissions of any kind, so the Android system will not permit it
to make internet connections. It cannot send your information anywhere because it cannot connect
anywhere. The only permission it requests is VIBRATE, used for button feedback,
which you can switch off in Settings.
No. CopyCat contains no advertising, no analytics, no crash reporting, and no third-party software development kits. No information is disclosed to advertisers, advertising networks, analytics companies, or service providers, because none is collected.
Earlier versions of CopyCat offered an optional global leaderboard to which you could choose to submit a high score. That feature has been removed and its server retired. No leaderboard data is collected or retained. Version 3.1 keeps all scores on your device only.
CopyCat is suitable for all ages. Because the Application collects no information from anyone, it collects no information from children. We do not knowingly solicit data from, or market to, children under the age of 13. If a parent or guardian has any concern, please contact us at games@imgwerx.com.
Because all data is stored on your device, you control it completely, and we retain nothing. Clearing the app's storage (Android Settings → Apps → CopyCat → Storage → Clear storage) erases every saved score and setting. Uninstalling the Application removes all of it. We hold no copy, so there is nothing to request from us and nothing for us to delete.
The strongest protection we can offer is not to collect anything in the first place. CopyCat transmits no information, and we operate no server that stores information about you. Data saved by the game is held in Android's private per-app storage and is protected by the security of your device.
CopyCat is distributed through Google Play. Google collects certain information as the distributor of the Application — for example install statistics, and crash reports if you have enabled them on your device. This happens through the Play Store rather than through CopyCat, and is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
This policy describes CopyCat version 3.1 and later. Versions 3.0 and earlier included advertising, analytics, and the optional leaderboard described above; the previous version of this policy described those practices. Those components have been removed entirely. If you are running an older version, updating to 3.1 removes them from your device.
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any revised version will be posted on this page with a new effective date, and material changes will be noted in the app's release notes on Google Play. You are advised to consult this page for any changes.
By using the Application you accept this Privacy Policy. IMGWERX LLC is based in the United States. Since the Application collects and transmits no information, no data about you is transferred to, processed in, or stored in any country.
If you have questions about this policy or about CopyCat, please email games@imgwerx.com.
